The World
Wide Web version of the Mollie Huston Lee Collection backs up the hard copy Lee collection,
making it available for off site access. The
WWW version of the Lee Collection is a true digital archive. It is
big. It is slow. The
site is designed for a 640 X 480 screen display (desktop area), and at
a 24-bit true color resolution (color palette). You can adjust your
computer with a right click of the mouse on the desktop. The
foundation of the digital collection are the 24 - bit, 300 d.p.i. full
color scans. These scans are generally 20 - 25 megabytes in size. From
these scans, typically an Adobe Acrobat portable document file (pdf)
is created. Currently, the resolution of those images are 150 dpi.
Also, various jpeg images are created for browsing. A
